I really love churn dash blocks--set straight, not on point! I'm also very fond of your squares!
Great block, I have been into star blocks and oversized blocks lately...oh who am I kidding, always! Congrats on a great block, I could see it as a patchwork full quilt!
Hi, Kelly! I'm Adrianne! I work in two different rooms when sewing anything, because we just don't have the space until one of my boys move out. Anyway, while chain stitching some beautiful pink plaids together one day recently, after getting them done (and I thank God it was a small messenger bag), realized some of them were backwards! I've been out of sewing/quilting for 20 years and forgot the 1st rule .. check twice, stitch once! I'm practicing my rusty skills on Christmas presents until I can get my confidence level up to stitching larger items!
Oh such a cute block and I love the idea of the rainbow colors. I might have to dig into my scrapbox and make some! Thanks for designing.
Love your squared block, so modern and bright.
Congrats on your block! I am a lover of log cabinish blocks! thanks!
Yet another "favorite". Seams that I will be busy when this issue hits the newsstand next week! Congrats on such a fun and colorful block! kathleendotlutzatcomcastdotnet
I don't usually use solids much but do enjoy the rainbow colors.
Great block. Thanks for sharing.
I love the log cabin pattern and would love to make a quilt some day.
All the blocks I have tried so far have been paper-pieced blocks, because that's the only technique I have learned, and I really like it. Piecing without paper foundation scares me a little, as I am quite new to sewing and afraid of making mistakes :) I really like (and want to learn sewing) modern geometric blocks, such as yours.
Your block has so many possibilities, Thank you!
Love, love, love these books. so many wonderful ideas. Where oh where to begin.
Great block. Here's one of my favorite quotes: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye."
-Miss Piggy
My favorite thing to do when I am in my quilting room is listen to an old favorite tv series. Problem is, I forget my headphones are on and get up to walk around!
Perfect - regular and not regular - it is clever.
Great block, Kelly...congrats to you for getting in this issue. Can't wait to try your block; I can see many possibilities. Here's a laugh (or a groan?)...it's only 9 degrees right now in western Iowa---WAHH! Great weather for staying inside to quilt.
Love your block. I think I will try it scrappy. When a block comes out different from what I thought it would be. I sing. "Can't get no satisfaction"
Love your block!! And I love eggnog, a little too much (according to my waistline). Thanks for the giveaway!
Kelly, I loved your video. It was so nice to see you again! Your block is beautiful! Faye
Cute block, Kelly! Congratulations! Right now I'm working on a Wallflowers quilt in orange and aqua using Uptown Lush, Florence and some random pieces. I'm loving it so far.
I love your little rainbow block.....solids- yum!
I love your block! I have no favourites but have a weakness for solid quilts.
Squared is very cute, I like it!

I love this block. It would make a fantastic scrappy quilt. thanks for the great giveaway. Hugs
Love your block!!! A great way to use solids in the beautiful rainbow colors. My favorite is the log cabin block and its variations.
My granddaughter was overheard telling her brothers that "Grammy's must-stash is bigger than Poppops!". Love your block!

I can so picture your block with the inner squares being being a tone-on-tone or fussy cut fabric and solids for all the others. Such a unique block.
I love your little squares and the color way is perfect! Working on a baby quilt for my brand-new grand niece!!

I really like rainbow blocks, too! Yours would make a great baby quilt.
Me? I'm a hexie girl. How about some Govi to exercise to? I love his calipso/flamenco beats to get the ol' flab movin'.
Your block is fun! It would look great put together in a quilt. So much movement!
Love this block! Also, we really need to bribe someone to get you on the list for Sew Down Nashville!!!

My favorite blocks are Log Cabin, Courthouse Steps, and all the variations we can do with so simple thing... Music for Workout... huh...what Workout is??? ;-)
My favorite block so far is the disappearing nine patch. I have not made too many blocks, I like the way the quilt looks after the blocks are put together.
Hi, Kelby, your squared block is really pretty, love the colors. And the balance throughout the block.
Workout song? Workout? Somebody actually does them? Not me. My usual listening is in the form of audiobooks.
Right now I'm working on Tula Pink's anchor quilt and am loving seeing it coming together.
Congrats on having your block in the magazine and thank you for all your great work that you share with us. I love any star block.
I love pieced blocks that are more traditional! I am truly a quilt fanatic! Kust ask any of my friends!!
I'd try making Squared with scraps for a super mix.
What is more frustrating than to be sewing and losing a piece of fabric. Spent hours looking for it. Gave up and made a new one only to find that I had laid it in the bathroom.
LOve your block! Workout--dating myself--soundtrack from Flashdance (the original) or Shania Twain.
Love the squared block! A set of three will make a perfect tablerunner for a very modern-styled friend's home. Just in time for Christmas! Thanks!!!
I have a new kitten. He loves to sit on my chest and lick my chin and my nose... but he has HORRIBLE "tuna breath"! I cuddle him anyway!
Hope to make you smile!

I don't have a favorite block. But I love to do blocks for a quilt. Right now I am working on a double wedding ring quilt. I also have a star block quilt going.
nice
My favorite workout song is Katie Perry's ROAR, When it plays on the radio and I am in the car, I am hard pressed not to start dancing and waving my arms around, but I am so afraid that the other drivers will wonder what is she smoking.
Hope this works! What did the bartender say to Charles Dickens?
Olive or twist?
Love the bright colors!
Love my pup, Gizmo! He makes me laugh every day. I am not allowed to take my own socks off, he has to take them off for me or he throws a fit!! LOL!!! Thanks for the opportunity to enter the contest!
Would love to win, thanks
Since I am still in the "clueless club" of quilting and I have a 3 year old ...my jam would have to be:
(Sung to farmer in the dell)
A quarter of an inch,
A quarter of an inch,
It better be a quarter of an inch,
So I wont rip a stitch."
Hmm work out songs...something with a beat to keep me running...no slow songs!
Right now I'm really liking the churn block, especially when it's made th a mini churn dash in the center. Thanks for the giveaway :)
Right now, my favorite pattern is swoon. I purchased the pattern and it s waiting patiently for me to pick it up to make a quilt. I have been working on my nieces' graduation gift, a T-shirt quilt which is at the binding stage, yayy! Thank you for the chance to win.
I am getting ready to attempt a New York Beauty Block. It is one of my favorites, but I have never tried it. Something funny? I sewed myself into my project a couple of weeks ago while hand piecing.
I don't know if it is funny or pathetic, but I've basted hexes to my sweatshirt when I've been working on them while watching tV
Stars and mariners compass blocks are my favorites.
