First blog hop. First comment. First winner????
I am always amazed at the new blocks that show up on Blogs. Thanks for showing us yours.
My favorites are log cabin type blocks/courthouse blocks and pinwheel blocks.
Gosh, I can't really say I have a favorite block. That's why I love this book to help me decide on what suits my mood at the time. svonfumetti(at)yahoo(dot)com
I love your block. How about a mildly inappropriate joke? What did the doctor say to Vanna White?
When was your last vowel movement?
I loved the stars quilt on your blog!!!! It is beautiful!!!!
What a neat block!! I haven't met a block I didn't like!!
My favorite blocks are the many variations of Carolina Lily. Love your block! What a good way to use all those brights from a Amish sampler.
SOLIDS?!! I've got quite a stash and am thinking perfect block ... Easy enough without getting bored!
Love the Starry Eyed quilt.
I like your block! I'm usually more of a traditionalist but I could see myself using this block.
Today I think about all the vets and those who have been in battle to protect us. My heart sings for anyone able to do quilts for their local Veterans Hospitals and to those that served us with honor.
I have a 100 fat quarters of Fairy Frost that I could use with the 100 blocks book. That would work, maybe.
Congrats on the block in the magazine! Any country music can make me dance. Have a great day!
Great modern block. I will never get all the quilts on my bucket list completed.
I love all the blocks. Amazing I do want to make almost all. I think I am going crazy with this magazine. I love the star quilt specially very beautiful great work!!!
My favorite is nine patch with half square triangles and quarter square triangles. The laugh I give you is me as a winner! Have a great day.

Thanks for the give-away. Really like the block. I'd love to try it with batiks.

What a pretty block…love the colors you chose!! Thanks for sharing :)
Really like your block--I know that it's not collecting dust, like your degree!! :-)
What a cute block. Love the colors. Congrats on being chosen to be in the magazine. I love collecting the 100 Blocks magazines.
I love your little square....or big square.... or medium square...it could be made any size!
Favorite WORKOUT song???? Really there is such a thing? (Okay that was to make you laugh) I do like to listen to Alan Jackson, Reba, Brooks & Dunn when I'm working out on my longarm. Love this book, if I don't win one guess I'll have to buy one.
CONGRATS ~ great block! I love hexies ~ so many wonderful ideas, so little time to sew.
Congratulations - I love your block!
I love anything with squares!
I look forward to seeing all the blocks.
Favorite blocks are granny squares and sawtooth stars!
Love your quilt, Kelly. So versatile in choice of colors and arrangement of blocks. Thanks for sharing.
I don't have a work out song, because I don't work out. I am too busy sewing. I don't have a favorite block yet I am new to quilt making but I do really like making jelly roll quilts.
What a great way to use all the beautiful solids that are out there now!
Fantastic block - wish I had it for my month as bee queen last month - it would have been perfect! I can totally see an entire quilt with it - yum! Fav workout song? That'd bee I got a feelin' by Black Eyed Peas.
I love your block! I'm a color junkie! I don't have a favorite block. My style is more free-form, but I do throw in some more traditional blocks to keep me 'square'!
It is "hip" to be square!
great block. I am always looking for ideas to use solid fabrics.
Congrats on your block being in the magazine.
I don't have a favorite block--unfortunately, I like them all...too many projects, too little time!
I love your block. I'm more of a traditonal quilter, but I've been admiring these modern blocks a lot more, lately. Congratulations for having a block in this issue.
My favorite pattern is always the one I'm working on right now! Currently i'm doing Julie Herman's Chopsticks and an exploding lonestar with no pattern. Cool block design, congrats!
oh kelly, that was a cute clip! i love log cabin blocks.
I love traditional blocks...or so I've thought but I'm beginning to love contemporary ones too!
I love any and all blocks. Always looking for something new.
Work out song? Oh F-off!!!!
Cute block, and fun video xxx
Newer to quilting, so just trying to master some basics....working on a Pinwheel pattern using half square triangles today. Net hanks for offering!
Wow! Amazing colors! Definitely looks three dimensional. Good thing this isn't Sunday morning 'cause my Saturday wine consumption would make viewing this one really fun!
I love fabric and all things related. My sewing room is overflowing. I keep saying I need to sew what I have, but keep seeing more things I love.
very fun block, looks easy too. I guess that's my favorite type of block, one I can make without fighting with it. I kinda suck at piecing! Thanks for the chance!
I love your colorful modern looking quilt block. I have always liked log cabin designs but am appreciating the bright and new designs more and more each day.
New to Blog Hopping. Hope I win!
Thanks for participating and sharing. Learning a lot and more if I can win a copy of the latest 100 Blocks magazine.
Love the colors you use for a cheerful quilt.
So many quilts, so little time! Your square is perfect for some scrap squares I have sitting around. Guess I better get started.
I love to see what new blocks have been created. So much fun - only wish I had more time & talent to do them. cwienstroer@amuniversal.com
From one Kelly to another..... Love the block.. all the bright colors..... Have you ever looked up the meaning of your name? We are "WARRIORS", strong, fun to be around, very generous and fun to be around.... loyal & protective....
Kelly
My favorite block is Log Cabin and its many variations. Its a fun block to play with because there are so many different layouts that work great!
Your block is lovely! Great as a stash buster or two colors. It so amazing all the creative block designs. One of my favorite blocks are stars, any and all, hehe. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for a super giveaway and a chance to win.
usairdoll(at)gmail(dot)com
I love your block! When I start my fall big housecleaning chore I always have my Christmas carols playing (even if it's only September or October) - especially the ones that are by different artists and are very upbeat!
Thanks so much for the chance to win :)
I really do like that Squared!!! block. I'm thinking I have colors on hand to do it!
Thank you for showing the two possible layouts for this block... the construction and various fabric choices make it a doable block for a scrappy quilt.
the gears are spinning.
Kaylace
Great block. I would certainly love to win a copy of this magazine. Thanks for your inspiring blog.
Oooh, I love this block! Awesomeness!
My favorite quilt patterns seem to always have stars. I love paper pieced ones!
What a great block! I need to work with solids more often. Thanks for the giveaway!
"Thank you for the opportunity to win a copy of the new 100 blocks!
I love your use of color in your
block...would make a great pillow top for my three year old granddaughter who is learning her
colors and numbers!" Mary Arline
I love all of the bright rainbow colors too! Just started quilting and I'm having a blast! Thank you so much for a chance to win, I love learning how to do these blocks and yours is beautiful!
My very first blog hop, and I landed on you first. I thought your work looked familiar, then "ah hah!" I know you from Craftsy. This is fun and I love your blocks and quilts. Holly
Home sick today, trying to work on a butterfly quilt from hankies for my aunt. Really enjoying the Quiltmakers Blog tour. I actually made the center block from an older 100 blocks issue.
This is my first blog hop…not sure if I'm doing it right, but I'll give it a shot.
I love seeing all the different blocks -- such insight into people's tastes and creative bent!
Love your block. I have been a very traditional quilt maker to this point but am about to go modern. This would be fun to start with and a whole quilt would be spectacular.
Love star blocks and fun designs, like your colorful squares block. Would love a copy of the Quiltmaker's current magazine!
Thanks!!
Can't wait to try the flying geese ruler...stopping at Joann's on my way home...lol...
great block!! it's always a fun week when the newest 100 blocks come out
Workout? I thought sewing was my daily workout. It's rock and roll music for me! Love your block- lots of possibilities with different genre of fabrics :).
mathrun1 at yahoo dot com.
have a kitty that likes to help quilt- mostly unthread the machine or sit on your lap when trying to hand sew.great helper!!
Kelly, Meant to add my two favorite blocks to first post....
they are "Rob Peter to Pay Paul"
which is the first block I made
and "Dresden Plate" I have a pillow top, handpieced by my
maternal grandmother of "Dresden
Plate", made from cotton fabric
from which her everyday dresses
and aprons were sewn. Mary Arline
I think the quiltmaker shuffle video is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I mean the dance about going to the quilt store and picking out the fabric. To see a bunch of quilters doing that exercise dance is just too, too funny.
patwade@cxo.net
Thanks for this wonderful block! So many interesting designs with this one! I guess my favorite block is the log cabin block. I love the design possibilities with this block. Again, thank you!
I have to say that I really like your block. You have made some amazing quilts for being as you say new to quilting. Love your fabric choices. Favorite block, is winding way.
Thanks for giveaway, and tonight I am going to try paper piecing for the first time.
I watched your video. I think chain piecing is great, and can really make blocks be sewn up quickly. You have to be organized, though so not to sew the wrong pieces of material together. Ask me how I know. :)
You did great on the video...thanks for sharing. Like your block.
Love your block. I'm always amazed at how creative people can be!
I think my favorite block pattern is the swoon block. I haven't made one yet but, I sure do like it!
Darling block! I love your use of color.
There's not a block I don't like, just as long as the sewing machine is humming.
I Love the colorful quilts in your blog. They are sunny and happy and just brought a smile to my face. I'm sure this reflects your attitude. Hope this promo works out for you.
Pam
My son likes to watch Mommy make "blankets", but he's especially eager when I let him choose the fabric! di_caughill at hotmail dot com
Super cute! I'd bet it would even look cute made with prints ;) My fave block is the pinwheel. Thanks for the chance to win! Oh, and the song my kiddos & I jam to in the car the most lately is "Pumping Blood" by NoNoNo. Bet you can't get through the song without whistling along! :)
hi, I love the asymmetry of your block and the colours. I can see lots of possibilities with this one. Oh, I didn't think your video was embarrassing at all, I thought you did really well. congrats. Coralee,(Canberra, Australia)
My favorite quick pattern is a jelly roll quilt, you can add applique, larger borders etc. To make it more individualized.
I like your block it reminds me of a baby quilt that I made, but it looks a lot simpler than that mess I made. ll_gee(at)hotmail
love your quilt, thanks for the giveaway !!
"Squared" is awesome. Love the rainbowy goodness of it. I could see supersizing the block and making a baby quilt.
You may call me a little "square", but I love a good "block". Thanks for the opportunity to win. :)
Love the bright colors of your block!
To make you laugh:
The incredible Wizard of Oz
retired from his business because
Due to up to date science
to mos of his clients
he wasn't the Wizard he was.
I love, love your block. I'd send you a picture of my granddaughters hair and you would laugh (she is only 11 weeks) but look at Zoolander and you will know and yes she was born with that much dark hair!
Awesome block! Thanks for sharing. I'm off to watch your video (highly doubt it's embarrassing)
Best lame joke:
Why does a chicken coup have only 2 doors?
If it had 4 doors it would be a chicken sedan!
Ok, move on people….nothing to laugh at here!
By the by…..love your block!
Love the colors in your block today!! I'm still fairly new at piecing and quilt most of my own smaller quilts..and I'm having the most fun learning something new every day. Thanks for all the clever new ways to put a block together for a fresh new look.
Mostly I have been a traditionalist but I am sure starting to love a lot of the modern designs & bolder fabrics. Your block design has so many possibilities can't wait to give it a try. Isn't that what quilting or sewing is all about trying new things
Thank for such a interesting block.

Love you square block - looks easy! Thanks
The colorful squares are really nice, I am a new at quilting also. Made my 1st quilt in 2011. It was fun!
diannasmithhart@yahoo.com
when i'm picking out fabric for my next project, i fancy bold/bright/dramatic type fabics. my kids are listening to this catchy tune "what does a fox say" you can find it on youtube.
My favorite block is always the one I am working on! I just can't wait to complete the block and see how it turned out!
Fun block!
Love the video!!!!
New to your blog. Great post, thanks for the chance to win. Love your block and peeked at and enjoyed your other quilts. You have an awesome quilter!! Hugs, Allison allon0711@yahoo.com
I love these magazines. I have a few of the older issues. So much fun to see all the new blocks.
Thanks for hosting! My favorite workout song will give away my age, but "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor is one that can always get me moving...And I generally do survive the workout :-)
My favourite block would be Shoo-fly. It's so versatile. Thanks for the chance to win.
Like the block...time to get back to business and more quilting fun!!!
congrats! rainbows are amazing. although my son with autism tends to color everything red! that's why I'm making him a Swoon with a red background, using Pieces of Hope for Autism collection by Riley Blake. it's turning out so much fun!
My favorite quilt block is a log cabin or a postage stamp block.
I would love to get my hands on this book so I have my fingers crossed really tight....hurry up and pick a winner because my poor little fingers are starting to hurt I have them crossed so tight...hehe!
Thanks for the chance, Jessica

Congrats on the block! I'm all out of funnies today...the only thing I have is that my 3mo old just discovered the TV and will crane his neck to try to look at it when we position him away from it. I guess it is good neck exercise.
I like squares and rectangles because they are easier to do and I can make more quilts. Thanks for the great blocks.
Thank you to all who served so that I can enjoy the freedoms I have. I love stars or any type and pinwheels. Thank you for the opportunity to visit your blog.
I love any block that I can find time to make lots of :)
I've also been looking for some time for a block that I believe is called "bird of paradise" - but I'm afraid I may have to design one.
At any rate... I love your blog!
When quilting till I'm wilting I have difficulty following directions, which results in a completely different design than the original pattern.
What a fun, easy block! I think it would work with quest to use up all scraps! Thank you!!
I am currently having a "quilters block" (like writer's block but for quilters) so I don't have a favourite block right now. I am hoping this blog tour will inspire me!
My first blog hop! A fun distraction during this busy quilting season...
I have always loved Jacob's Ladder and Wedding Ring quilts. I always love a challenge especially with color.
I don't have a favorite block, but I find myself being drawn into the modern quilts. Love the patterns and the use of color and fabrics.
Great block!!
So far my favorite blocks are stars but I haven't been quilting all that long so that could change as I learn more.
I guess my favorite pattern would be the log cabin as you can alter it in so many ways. I do like how your block is easy to put together but can be switched up to create different designs.
Having a favorite of anything in the world of quilting is next to impossible for me. Today I may be swooning over wonky churn dash blocks, but tomorrow it may be a Baltimore album quilt. I wonder what Squared will look like in prints?
Nice block. I love the colors! Love, love your starry-eyed quilt as well! You could tell your hubby that the living room is being turned into a "quilt sanctuary" and that a quilts stained window is required. :)
Right now my favorite new project is City Sampler and I am working it in Purples & Greys. First attempt at a thoroughly Modern quilt for me…..
I love the way new designers are looking at blocks. than ks maybe I'll win
My favorite quilt pattern is the one I am working on currently. I do not have a favorite "go to pattern". My current work out music is Christmas music!
My all time favorite quilts are anything with dresdens or hexi's
Love, Love, Love this block - thank you for your participation
Love the block!!! Congratulations!
My favorite block is one where everything fits together like it's supposed to and the fabrics work together to draw the eye around the block. Your block is a good example--it's good eye candy. It reminds me of the saying that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It also makes me want to count how many squares are in it, like a puzzle. Great work!
You have the gift of combining modern and traditional.....it really rocks !!!!
Oh, I love this block! I'm going to try to make one like it. :-). Thanks!
Thanks for the giveaway
Wow, so many comments already! I thought everyone was out shopping today. Guess not. LOL Thanks for the chance to win. I won't have time to shop if I win this magazine. I'll be home quilting!
I love star blocks!
Do you ever piece your quilt backs?
I'm really loving paper piecing patterns right now!! :)
Surfing on the blog tour while dancing with the stars is on. Hhhmmm. Bare chested well built men....
Ok back to the tour.
Love your block!
Beth in Dallas
Definitely agree with you about the Quilt in a Day Flying Geese ruler, they work great for me too.
It would be great to win the new 100 Blocks Magazine. Maybe you will laugh--I sew in the basement and iron upstairs--I call it my exercise routine.
I like your block!! One of my new fave workout songs is The Walker by Fitz and the Tantrums :)
I love anything with stars!
I love the HST the best. Your Liberty Quilt is the perfect example of why I love it.

missmoozie(at)gmail(dot)com
Can't say I have a favorite block! I love them all! Thanks for the chance to win.
Oh this block is so cute. Maybe different colors.
As long as a quilt block is made up of thread and fabric, it is my favorite! I would love to win a copy of 100 blocks, thanks for the chance to enter.
June
Your block is fab! Congrats on being in this edition of 100 Blocks!
I'm loving solids right now and I can see doing this block with some hand dyes I have acquired. Can't pick a favorite block , I might hurt another blocks feelings.
Very different. Nice idea for a gifft to those who prefer the clean lines of modern quilts
I am happy to be the the end of several UFO right now. Kathy
Like the simplicity of your solid color block. I think my favorite block is the simple Rail Fence. I taught quilting at my church for several years and the ladies always were able to finish their quilts using the Rail Fence pattern. with that pattern mastered thy easily moved on to more dificult blocks with confidence.
Your video rocks! Love your block, its so cute! :)
My favourite block pattern is Swoon!
My favorite fabric is batik so am busy making two more modern style quilts as wedding gifts.
What a great idea - the blog hop. This is my first hop. I'm looking forward to all the blogs/blocks.
I love making table runners. And I've found that the blocks in these magazines are a great starting point. Thanks!
I love your blog! I had fun reading past posts.
And I love the block you made for the 100 blocks mag. This will be fun to play with color.
Thank you for participating in the give away.
My first blog tour and I am looking forward to all the new options for all the fabric I keep adding to my collection! Thanks so much for sharing your love of quilting!
Never been on a blog before but I think I may have to join in. I'm missing out on a lot. Love the block and video. Did not care for the grey until I saw the complete layouts on the video. Awesome. TY
This is my first quilt blog hop ~ so exciting! Love your rainbow block of blocks. I am new to sewing so I don't have a favorite yet. Thanks for the giveaway!
I like your block since it reminds me of the current rage in modern quilts. Great job.
fun block, love the pink and green combos
Favorite jam? Favorite Block? It's all depending on the mood at the time! Sometimes it's having Rosemary and Thyme playing on Netflix while I quilt! Your colors are beautiful, btw!
Not sure if it's my favorite block but it's on my bucket list of quilts for sure - A Double Wedding Ring!
I love a scrappy pineapple block
Hi, my favorite type of quilting is applique and I love purples and greens together. Thanks.
Oh goodness. I'm terrible at being witty...
Your squares block is really cool and modern!
My favorite song to sing at the top of my lungs in the car if Everybody Dance Now...I know, ridiculous :-)
I love the Log Cabin block,,,thanks for the chance to win too!!
Really cute block and colors. I love the log cabin blocks. So many ways to arrange them. Thanks!
I gravitate to clear geometrics and modern lines. This block hits my sweet spot. Thanks so much. Can't wait to try it.
I love creating with geometric shapes that result in stars. I'm also crazy for log cabins (both fabric & wood)! Thank you so much for a chance to win.
I just ordered the small flying geese ruler. Cant wait to get started!
Your block is perfect stache busting with smaller pieces, I love it.
I thought your star quilt in the window looked like a beautiful stained glass window. I would be proud to hang it in my window. We both know husbands are dumb. Don't listen to him.
My favorite quilt block is the pinwheel block. Almost all variations.
This is my first blog hop. I am new to quilting too. I love the quilts on your blog!
I love your star quilt. Very bright! Looks like something I would do!
I can't pick a favorite quilt block since it would change daily depending on my mood. I guess that I just love them all.
I think your block is cute. I'm definitely a Motown girl, showing my age, lol. Love to sing and dance with the grandbabies
Log Cabin with its variations, is my favorite.
Thrilled to see another Babylock Symphony owner who loves, loves their machine! So much fun to FMQ! I am both left brained and right brained, and love both traditional and modern quilting. What an addiction! And is it really possible to have a favorite block?! I could say the same about favorite color or ice cream flavor. I could never answer those questions!
My favouriteblock is a modern classic: Swoon by Camille Roskelley. Love it!
I love pinwheels. But I've been having a lot of fun just playing with scraps lately -- strings & stuff.
Nice block you've made, and you've achieved some interesting color juxtapositions. I need to be more daring; thanks for the example.
My favorite block is the Log Cabin; your block reminds me of that type of foundation!
I think you did a great job in the video - I know how hard it is to show something and keep talking at the same time. I've done some training webinars on using software and had all kinds of things go wrong including one computer deciding it should commit suicide while I was using it.
Like the modern look of your block.
I love your block...it would be great for scraps.
I really like the traditional schoolhouse block, but have yet to make one.
I like flying geese! Your block is great! My first blog hop too!! :)
Your block is wonderful, can be used with many fabrics for a variety of looks.
oh, am I suppose to have a favorite? I simply cannot choose one block or pattern--I am a quilter and love everything quilty. Thanks for the chance to win.
My favorite thing right now is my 8-day-old granddaughter, Hannah!
Your block is fabulous in solids, that's a great way to use them. I love solids but I find it difficult to use them.
May favourite thing are my sons, but they tend to steal my sewing time... ;-)
Thanks for the chance!
I really like star blocks.
My favorite block has always been the Dresden plate since I was a little girl and my mother was working on a Dresden plat quilt on her quilting frame.
